Description
Red Sky Evening on the Line - Electric lineman works late into evening making connections to restore power to blackout area. Silhouette against the sky, high up in a hydraulic cherry-picker bucket, he wrestles thick powerline conductors with pullers, tensioners, ropes, and splicing tools. One of the highly skilled trades, servicemen in this industry must work safely in the sometimes risky situations found in HVAC. (High Voltage Alternating Current) Wearing the latest safety gear, hardhat and insulated clothing, they must troubleshoot, repair, rewire, and work in all kinds of weather and conditions. This means being out in the cold and wind of the winter atmosphere, as well as summer heat.
This is part of a series of dramatized lineworker pictures. Actual workers, placed on artwork of surrealistic skies.
