The vast open area of northern great plains provide ample stopover spots for migratory waterfowl such as depicted here. Small ponds scattered over the landscape tempt the birds to rest. Wanted to give the feeling of wide open spaces. Cloudy and rainy effect done on coated paper (Yupo like).
